If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the market for a new pool.
You must first answer two questions: do you want a swimming pool, and who do you want to build it? We think there’s a pool builder out there for every kind of customer- and at Aloha Pools & Spas, we work hard to be that fit. We pride ourselves on versatility, adaptability, and truly listening to the needs of the people we serve.
This article breaks down what makes Aloha different from other pool companies and where our value lies beyond just installing a pool.
Aloha is a Third-Generation Family Business.
Aloha Pools & Spas got its start in 1969, when owner Brad Cook’s father, John Cook, built their family pool in their own backyard. From there, John began building pools for the neighbors, and eventually for the whole town. What started as an unofficial side project became an official storefront in 1990. Brad has been with the company ever since, and today, some of his children, nieces, and nephews work alongside him too.
We value family, personally and professionally. Beyond Brad and his crew, several relatives work together across our team- and that’s not a coincidence. Aloha is a family matter, and that means your family matters to us too.

Our Team Has Real, Lasting Experience.
One thing that sets Aloha apart: our people stick around. We have individuals in every department who’ve been with the company for over 10 years. Some have moved between roles, picking up knowledge across the whole business. Others have spent that decade-plus becoming true experts in one specific area.
This shows most in our construction team. Multiple crews are led by builders with 10+ years of experience and hundreds of pools under their belts. Our teams value quality – and our veterans know exactly what that looks like.
New employees aren’t trained from a handbook. They’re trained in the field, by people who’ve spent years learning what actually works and what doesn’t. They gain real, well-rounded training you can’t get from a manual.
Our Pools Come With a 5-Year Warranty.
Here’s something most people don’t know about a standard pool warranty: it’s barely useful. A one-year warranty doesn’t cover a bad construction job starting to show its cracks (sometimes literally) after summer #1. Since these issues don’t always surface during the first year, Aloha proudly covers you for the first half decade with your pool.
Our 5-year warranty exists because we understand what can go wrong with a pool build over time. We do quality work, but circumstances beyond anyone’s control can occasionally affect that work. We want you covered and taken care of- five years ensures the job was done completely and correctly, for a genuinely happy pool-owner future.
One note: our warranty doesn’t cover damage from owner neglect. That’s why we make sure to teach you how to properly care for your pool from day one.
We Take the Time to Do It Right.
As you research pool builders, you may notice one thing about us that looks like a drawback at first: we take longer to build your pool. The reason is simple- we don’t cut corners.
Before building your pool, we inspect your underground lines. That inspection alone takes a few days, and if it turns up anything that needs attention, you can expect a couple of extra weeks added to your timeline. It’s not the fastest path- but those extra weeks can save you thousands of dollars down the road by catching problems before they become expensive ones. Aloha Pools Does It All: Inground, Semi-Inground & Above-Ground.
Not every backyard- or every budget- calls for the same kind of pool, and Aloha builds all of them. Whether you’re picturing a fully custom inground pool, a semi-inground option that blends into a sloped yard, or an above-ground pool that gets you swimming faster and at a lower cost, our team can walk you through what fits your space, your goals, and your timeline. We also have three types of inground pools: vinyl, fiberglass, and gunite pools. These are uniquely customizable, and none are a bad option- a breakdown of the differences here.
No matter which route you take, you get the same construction standards, the same warranty philosophy, and the same people behind the build.
We’re More Than Just Swimming Pools.
If a pool is the first of several purchases on your future-home wish list, we might be a great fit. Beyond swimming pools, we sell hot tubs, swim spas, saunas, and cold tubs.
We also run full-service parts, sales, and chemical departments- each staffed by employees specialized in their own area, ready to share what they know.
Aloha is a one-stop shop for all things pools and wellness. If you’re looking for a company that stays with you through the entire pool-ownership life cycle, we might be the right people for you.

We Are a Resource for You.
As mentioned, Aloha sells pool chemicals- and at each of our stores, water care specialists are on hand to help you figure out exactly what your pool needs and how to take care of it. You can check in with them for free any time. They’re the ultimate gurus to help you through it.
We also offer free water care workshops for customers at each store. We know pool care can get complicated, and we love swimming alongside you through it.
Along with this, we maintain online resources like this blog, our YouTube channel, and our deep-dive podcast – free to access any time, and a quick way to get a fast answer or a new idea you hadn’t considered before.
